It is good to pray with sure faith. It is also good to pray in the darkness, when we do not know how to pray, when we can see no possible way through, we just know that through has to be got. In these times, we can pray with David, ‘In you, Lord my God, I put my trust….Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in you all day long’

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will resume on Wednesday 8th January 2025.
New Lectionary: The readings at Mass will now be translated using the English Standard Version Catholic Edition (ESVCE). The old version will no longer be used at Mass in accordance with the Bishops Conference of England and Wales. New Sunday missals and readings can be purchased via the CTS Bookshop www.ctsbooks.org/product/sunday-missal-2025
Application forms for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and Holy Communion are available from the Repository in the church porch. Please fill in the form and return to the Repository.
Application forms for the Sacrament of Confirmation are now available in the Repository. Candidates are requested to complete the form and return to the Repository in the coming Sundays. More details will be published later.
On Wednesday 15th of October 2025 Bishop Alan will come for a pastoral visitation and at the evening Mass administer the Sacrament of Confirmation. A preparation programme will be available in advance of the celebration. Details will be available in the parish newsletter. All candidates must attend Mass every Sunday.
