First Sunday of Advent (C) -  Advent Theme – Prepare Ye The Way of the Lord
Words from Canon Niall :
Advent is an invitation to ‘Stay alert, praying at all times for the strength to survive all that is going to happen and to stand with confidence before the Son of Man’ (Luke 21:36)
As we strive to build a new normal in these Covid times, this Advent is a renewed invitation to each of us to be transformed into a disciple of Jesus.
Have I the courage to accept?
Is the cost of friendship treasure too high?
Do I really want to be a fully committed disciple friend of Jesus?
Have a Blessed Week.

  • Thresholds of Hope : the Vicariate for Adult Formation - another wonderful tool when proclaiming the good news of God's grace to all. St John Henry Newman believed that the lay faithful were to take a full part in the life of the Church, to be confident in expressing their Catholic Faith and willing to share its beauty with others. Hope you find this resource useful; more here
